Grant-Writing Workshops Offered for County Arts and History Organizations

Trenton, NJ - Mercer County Executive, Brian M. Hughes, the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and the County Division of Culture and Heritage are offering two sessions of a grant-writing workshop on Monday, March 31 and Thursday, April 3, 2008. The March 31st session of “Grant Writing De-Mystified,” takes place in the evening from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Lawrence H.Q. Branch of the Mercer County Library system, located at 2751 Brunswick Pike (off Darrah Lane) in Lawrenceville. The April 3rd session takes place from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Mercer County ’s Joyce McDade Administration Building , 640 South Broad Street, Trenton, NJ, Room 211.

Division Staff Member, Tricia Fagan, a non-profit administrator and consultant with more than 20 years experience, will conduct the workshops. The workshop offers a practical, interactive experience for staff, board members and volunteers from the County’s non-profit arts and history organizations that are new to grant-writing or are looking for tips for developing successful grants. The application process and eligibility requirements for the County’s Local Arts and History Regrant programs will be reviewed.

The workshops are free and open to the public, however, seating is limited so pre-registration is required. Light refreshments will be served.
