About Arts Plan NJ
Arts Plan NJ , first adopted in 1998, is the state's overarching blueprint for a better New Jersey through and for the arts. After a three-year planning process to reshape the Plan, a newly refreshed Arts Plan NJ, created with the input of nearly 1,000 New Jersey leaders from all sectors, is ready for final adoption and implementation.
The Plan focuses on six major goals that stress the importance of:
Access to and participation in the arts
Arts education and lifelong learning
Support for individual artists
Resource Development
The role of the arts in economic and community development
Technology and the Arts
Arts Plan NJ provides a road map for all sectors of New Jersey to connect the arts to their own organization's plans and contribute to its success. Arts Plan NJ is a plan for everyone, a big picture of what can be accomplished when individuals, educators, nonprofit organizations, business and communities everywhere work with the extraordinary arts community of this state.
