Acclaimed Artist Bea Bork Celebrates Ninth Solo Show at Hopewell Frame Shop's Gallery

HOPEWELL, NEW JERSEY - Acclaimed watercolor artist Beatrice Bork, whose work focuses primarily on animals and their habitat, will enjoy her ninth solo show at the Hopewell Frame Shop's Gallery from Saturday, November 17, 2007, through the end of the year.

Noting that a showing of Bork's work is a happy annual event at the Gallery, Frantz says, "Bea's paintings are a gift to us-a perfect fit for the holiday season. And what's really exciting is that 2007 has been a year of great happiness for her. Patrons will really enjoy this show."

Bork, raised in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, has enjoyed having her work reproduced in leading wildlife publications and she has been honored with a juried membership into the Society of Animal Artists. She was the recipient of the prestigious Don Eckelberry Award in 2004.

In 2007, Bork was chosen as a finalist in The Artist's Magazine's 24th Annual Art Competition, Animal Art category. Her entry was judged on her innovative handling of the subject, as well as expression and rendering.

John Banovich was the juror. Bork's work was also chosen for inclusion in the Society of Animals Artists' First Annual "Small Works Exhibition and Sale," entitled Small Works ~ Big Impressions to be held this November and December at The Wildlife Experience, an interactive museum located in Colorado.

Noting that she is pleased to be rounding out the year with an exhibit at the Hopewell Frame Shop's Gallery where she has been so well supported, Bork says, "This has been an exhilarating year for me on many levels and I am happy that Abby has invited me back for a ninth solo show."

The Hopewell Frame Shop, located at 24 West Broad Street, Hopewell, New Jersey, hosts art shows and exhibitions throughout the year.
