Arlene Milgram and Judy Tobie took part in the Plainsboro Library challenge show. The show this year is of Artist Trading Cards (A.T.C.) Each artist made 9 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" cards. The cards fit in a baseball card sleeve. This mini-art is traded and collected. A.T.C. was started by a swiss artist (M. Manci Stimemann) in 1996. Pricilla Algava judged the show.
Judy Lass Tobie got Best of Show/Handmade Paper and Arlene Milgram got Best of Show. The show is up for a month. The Library is located at 641 Plainsboro Rd., Plainsboro, NJ. Arlene also has Cardboard and mixed media portraits of "Artists I Never Met". Her work will be at the Arts Council of Princeton in the Princeton Shopping Center on Harrison Street through October. These were inspired by her pieces for Dangerous Women 2. After dealing with Lee Krasner, she thought about who else she could discover with the same technique of pictures and poems. |
