We would like to invite you to exhibit your work for Camden's University District 2nd Annual Multi-Cultural Street Arts Festiva . The Street Arts Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 29, 2007 10:00am - 5:00pm on N. 6th Street (between Cooper & Market Streets) near Camden County College. This year twenty (20) artists from the Delaware Valley are being invited to participate in the festival.
The City of Camden has been encouraging organizations, businesses, and neighborhoods to develop more activities throughout Camden . Various businesses in the University District have come together to create our own annual event. The multi-cultural street arts festival is a fun day for the neighborhood. The goal is to build an event that celebrates the strength and diversity of the neighborhood. The University District is home to Camden's most diverse neighborhoods featuring schools, arts centers, a hospital, religious institutions, community college, state university, and many businesses.
Some of the activities planned for the 2nd annual arts festival - art reception, art sale of original paintings and sculptures of twenty artists from the Delaware Valley, art workshops and lectures, live music performances, poetry, food, various crafts, and a silent art and gift auction. This year's proceeds from the event will help injured Woodrow Wilson High School football player, Shykem Lawrence. During the event an auction will be held to raise money to contribute to the fund. We are asking each artist to donate one (1) piece of art for the auction.
Submit our exhibit form and $10.00 registration fee to reserve your place. Artist set-up is scheduled between 8:00am - 10:00am on the day of the event Saturday, September 29. We have planned a VIP breakfast for the artists between 8:30am - 9:30am Saturday morning. For more information call 856-338-1958. We look forward to enjoying your art.
Sincerely, Mr. Larry Miles Arts Festival Chairman
